With my first book, the publisher didn't think my original title was fairy tale enough and asked me to try to come up with something more in that vein. Luckily, they liked the replacement title I came up with (Ivy's Ever After), and let me keep my original title for the sequel (Ivy and the Meanstalk). A lot hinges on the title of a book, and they are very conscious of that.Dawn Lairamorehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01615827571568264386noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2173408054965817352.post-34879120830223634282013-06-27T10:35:32.717-05:002013-06-27T10:35:32.717-05:00Yes!!Yes!!Dawn Lairamorehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01615827571568264386noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2173408054965817352.post-50585838517011019762013-06-27T10:35:22.788-05:002013-06-27T10:35:22.788-05:00You're welcome! However, a lively or unique title is more likely to get someone to look at your manuscript in the first place. I've always loved the title From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler, even though it doesn't mention Claudia at all.

Joanne R. Fritzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08076959910493197255noreply@blogger.com
